Today was a write-off and we relaxed after our night out yesterday.
After breakfast Claire was watching telly while I was playing games on my laptop, X3 Albion Prelude specifically.
We had ready meals from Spencer's in the room and I think I had a bad meal as my stomach was upset.
At around 20:00 very loud music started upstairs from the roof garden. We patiently dismissed it despite hardly being able speak to each other in the room - keeping in mind that these are serviced apartments and not a hotel or function rooms.
At around 22:00 we sat down and watched telly together while music was still booming upstairs and didn't end until 1:00 in the morning. We thought that was it and tried to go to sleep but we were sadly mistaken as the crew started cleaning up and moving furniture around without lifting it from the ground with big scraping sounds across the floor as a result.
At 2:15 I finally had enough, got clothes on and walked down to reception and gave out by saying that we had been quite patient but that they were now taking the piss and it had to end now.
The reception guy seemed to take it onboard as the the noise seemed to subside - for 10 minutes before they were at it again. At 3:15 it was Claire's turn to have enough and she went down to reception as well and took the guy there for a walk up to the top floor and gave out to the whole lot - fair play to her ;-) After that things died down although we could still hear the occasional sound from furniture and the lift going up and down like a yo-yo. But finally at around 4:00 we fell asleep.
