14/01/2012

Today we woke up slightly hungover after the couple of cocktails and beers last night. We went to the same place as last night for breakfast - it was nice as you could get proper coffee here too, like in the German bakery.
Unfortunately things took a turn for the worse when we were told by Nelish the admin guy that they were booked out for the two extra weeks we had requested - I suspect it was because we didn't want to pay more for the (family) room than we did this first week, but still wanted to keep it or similar.
So anyway, we therefore had to go on the hunt for a new room and after visiting many beach resorts we finally settled on a room (the only room) with a sea view in the Shanti beach resort. It's not far from the restaurant area but hopefully it won't be a problem. It actually ended up being R.200,- cheaper at R.1.300,- per night than where we currently stay.
After sorting that out we finally relaxed on the beach for a couple of hours before being sunned out and went up on our veranda instead where we were reading.
Life here is blissfully slow and our minds are pretty much gone by now - brains but a mush of their original state - the most important decisions we make are what to eat, where to eat and when to go to the beach. One word springs to mind: Chilled...
We finally went to a restaurant not far from Om Sai - that I forget the name of - for some food and no alcohol tonight - the food was really nice although I did find a couple of small unidentifiable hairs in it (hmmmm). Afterwards we went back to bed and watch some the Big Bang episodes on the laptop before going to bed.

Some colourful huts south of our huts

Another sunset shot, this time from my Nikon D5100

A stampede Goan style - even the cattle is chilled out
