I kicked off the day with a run this morning and Claire went off for a walk on the beach. Afterwards we went to the German Bakery for some breakfast and then had a walk around.
We stumbled across a dentist near Agonda beach and I decided to enquire how much an examination, cleaning and scaling would be - turns out it would cost R.500,- (around €7.50) and I booked an appointment for tomorrow.
Afterwards we went for a snooze and then went to the beach for a couple of hours where we read and swam.
We really are settling in to the relaxed life here and just taking it easy - very nice to just switch off and have no worries whatsoever.
Last bad habit to drop is: stop reading the Irish/European/Global news as there's way too much doom&gloom - and unfairness on part of tax payer funded bailouts, the stupidity of the IBRC hunting people with no money or who are too smart for them (from which advisors, solicitors and accountants are creaming millions/billions over the next few years), politician pays/pensions, Croke Park agreements & senior civil servant pays/pensions, second bailouts, mortgages in arrears, tax increases and an endless chain of reductions in rent allowances, health services, public spending etc - it would seem that Ireland and Europe is on the brink of a major setback - measured in decades - of work and progress; and that things are unravelling like a car crash in slow-motion. So, got to stop reading this stuff as the only thing really concerning me at the moment is the Euro-Rupee exchange rate, which has taken a hammering over the last few weeks and so makes our holidays more expensive over time.
We went to Green Land and got ourselves some real pizza with thin crust and made in a proper wood fired oven, accompanied by a bottle of Indian wine (Nashik, north-east of Mumbai) - it was all really yummy and we will certainly be going back there when we feel the need for some Westernized food.
We then went to Madhu and finished off with a couple of cocktails and beers - after which Claire called home via Skype for about an hour.

Hi Morten, am enjoying the blog entries, keep 'em up. It's like reading a thriller, wondering what food you'll decide to have each day, wow! Christ, it sure is a tough job travelling. :) Oh, and more photos please. Looks like you're easing your way into the Indian lifestyle very well.

Hey Mike, will do - have uploaded some more pictures today ;-) It's only when I have a proper Internet connection that it's feasible as my mobile in Goa is only on GPRS(2g)/EDGE(2.5g), which at least allows me to check email and write blog entries - so Cyber Cafe's and their wi-fi hotspots are really the only alternative for uploading pictures...
